Prayagraj Fort being one the biggest fort of early modern period tells the legacy of the exquisite culture of India. In the 16th century world, while western architecture style was developing more under utilitarian and functional ideas with built spaces, the city of confluence was witnessing opulence, beauty and military engineering synthesised all together in this grand fort built by Mughal emperor, Akbar.
For the next few centuries, this fort represented the plight of mighty Mughals as well as the exquisite culture of Ganga-Jamuni existence. The walk will start at the Fort entrance, then covering the Akshayavat tree, Patalpuri entrance, Patalpuri Temple from pre Mughal era and end at the Hathi Gate.
