Leh old town provides for a great view. It is today traversed by hundreds of tourists who visit the 17th century Leh Palace to catch the epic view from the rooftop of the nine storey palace of the ‘Lion King of Ladakh’ to witness the stories that are gradually being untold.
Below the palace, lies a labyrinth of houses and alleyways, each with their own secrets. Although it helps us travel back in time, the town has modern day problems, and is seriously being threatened by weathering, neglect and disuse.
