Photography is one of the best artistic mediums to connect with one's surroundings. It allows one to capture the intricacies which lie in the details of the tangible and intangible.
Rauza Lal Khan's tomb at Raj Ghat, Varanasi, belongs to the 18th century and is notable for its marvellous architecture. The precinct of the tomb also houses the excavation site of the ancient city of Kashi.
This walk will explore the history of Varanasi by looking at the archaeological evidence near the Malviya Bridge and the river edge. This area, towards the north of Varanasi City, is blessed with natural beauty. We will photograph the tomb and other structures near it. Here, the sunrise is unique is as it passes through the eastern minaret of the tomb, making for a peaceful view.
