About the walk

The 'Queen of the Hills', Shimla is known for its beauty and grandeur. Once the summer capital of British India, it is famous for cool breezes and evergreen deodar trees, as well as its rich heritage. One can see British architecture scattered across Shimla, with the buildings preserved in their original Tudorbethan style of architecture.

This walk shall explore the history of Shimla with a visit to the State Museum.

Please Note

• Entry fees to the monuments are to be paid by the participants. The museum has a nominal fee of ₹30/- for Indian nationals and ₹100/- for foreign nationals.

• Parking facilities are not available at the meeting point. Cars can be parked in nearby areas, a little away from the meeting point.

• Photography is allowed inside the museum at a payment of ₹50/-, to be borne by the participant.

• Please wear comfortable walking shoes and carry drinking water.
