Rachol is a small village in the Salcete taluka of South Goa. It is also known as ‘Raitura’ (royal town/harbour) in Konkani and is located on the bank of the Zuari river. It is about 7 km from Margao and is surrounded by the Raia, Loutolim, Maina and Shiroda villages. The walk will begin at the famous Rachol Seminary. We will then walk through the village to reach the old port jetty. Our next stop is the Rachol Church, which is one of the oldest churches of South Goa. There is a surprise element with loads of memories and friends to conclude. Be prepared to be active and sweat, as we see the true face of Goa.
