Stepwells are a very important part of the architectural history of Western India and Bai Harir ni Vav dates back to the late 15th century with an incredible display of craftsmanship. We will be conducting a small educational walk in the stepwell to understand the importance and relevance of the same in an arid topography such as that of Ahmedabad. The walk will end with a sit-and-draw event with the children.
The event will be co-organised by the Living Waters Museum and will be part of "Water we Want" an initiative organised for the youth by the global network of water museums and UNESCO.
This guided tour is specially curated for children of the local schools of Saraspur and is not open to the general public.
