Delve into the Rich Heritage of Banaras

About the walk

William Durant once said, 'History is a narrative of what civilised men have thought or done in the past time.' The city of Banaras has always been rich in history and culture. The Durga Temple situated in Ramnagar, Banaras, dates back to the 17th century and is an excellent example of art and architecture. The temple is situated beside a huge sacred pond. The area is a perfect amalgamation of Indian and British culture, with lush green road and a colony set up by the East India Company near the temple. Join us on this interesting and educational walk to learn more about the rich history of Banaras.

The guided tour is free.
