Fort Barabati, which is believed to have been constructed in the 11th century by the Ganga dynasty, is situated on the banks of the river Mahanadi. The interesting strategic location of the fort, along with the moats surrounding it is has raised a lot of curiosity. Barabati stands as a testimony to the dramatic historical and political changes of Cuttack and Odisha. The stone walls of the fort have fascinating stories to reveal. The palace ruins are mute witnesses to significant architectural and technological advancements. The Barabati Fort is also among a few places in the country wherein the religious and the administrative coexist.     

This walk will be a dedicated journey exploring the untold and unexplored phases of the Barabati Fort, and understanding its significant role in shaping the history and urban culture of Odisha.
