Delightful Past of Sakkardara

About the walk

The Sakkardara precinct, known as Chhota Tajbagh today, was developed during the Bhosale Period. This precinct was a retreat palace for the kings Raghuji II and Raghuji IV. It included a beautifully carved temple, a fountain, a stepwell, a zoo, several palaces, and a lake with a ghat and a gateway. It is also the place where two saints, who were greatly revered by the Nagpur Bhosales, breathed their last.

Let us take a walk back into time, and revisit the stories of the delightful and divine past of Sakkardara.

This guided tour is free.
