In this walk, we will explore the ancient histories and mysteries of the Kankali Temple in Raipur. It is one of the oldest and most famous temples of Raipur. It is believed that it was established by Naga Sadhus nearly 600 years ago, when they came to visit South India and established a monastery on cremation ground to perform tantric meditation. There is a small pond attached to this temple. It is believed that this pond was the first king's fort and it has been related to a skeleton, which led to its name being Kankali. According to an ancient belief, bathing in this pond heals skin diseases.
After this, we will visit another pond called Budh, which is 600 years old, and explore its ancient stories. We will also visit the Budheshwar Temple and Shitalamata Temple.
