Ram Bagh Palace, a Mughal-architectural-styled monument in Amritsar, used to be the summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh empire in Punjab. Since the Maharaja had a very close connection with Amritsar, he used to visit the city on the occasions of Vaisakhi, Vijayadashami and Diwali.
Situated in the middle of Ram Bagh, the palace was constructed under the supervision of Faqir-Aziz-ul-din, Desa Singh and Sardar Lehna Singh Majithia. Also known as Company Bagh, the area is frequented by the people of Amritsar for recreational activities in the mornings and evenings. The walk will start from the Ram Bagh Gate on Mall road, then walking through the park, it will reach the Summer Palace.
