As we crawl back to our daily routine, we open up for safe travel options. If you aren’t able to travel outside the city and are craving for that little break from home, feel free to join us in this short walk at the Grandeur of Indore – Lalbaug Palace!
Let us spend our Saturday exploring one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Indore. With over 28 acres of red rose velvet carpet for your welcome. This palace was built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar during 1886-1921, highly influenced by westernised outlook and the aesthetic sensibility of the later Holkar.
As we go inside, we will see some daunting gates of the palace which are unique in Asia, on which you will see the Holkar state emblem which states “He who tries will succeed”. The main attraction is the accurately proportioned and furnished rooms, with beautiful carvings on the walls as ceilings.
Come join us as we walkthrough this majestic palace inhabited by the Holkars till 1978. We will visit the personal rooms (bedrooms) of kings and queens, dining room, dance hall, work area or office of the kings, family room and a gallery of old images.
This guided tour is free and is a physical tour.
