Established in 1981, the Vechaar Museum displays an assortment of precious utensils and is the only one of its kind in the world. It encapsulates aspects of Indian culture through its village-like environment and unique collection. One can walk around the museum and marvel at the inimitable beauty of the ancient utensils that have been handed down through the generations. They speak to the unmatched art and genius of humankind at times when modern facilities were not available. The founder and owner of the Vechaar Museum, Surendra Patel, shares his success with Mr Jyotindra Jain, a well-known anthropologist. Patel could not let our rich Indian heritage disappear and was determined to preserve it. Today, his dream is a reality in the form of the Vechaar Museum. It houses a collection of over 4500 unique pieces—including 800 varieties of nutcrackers—that embody tales of cultural importance.
