The Hidden Jewels of the Blue City of Jodhpur

About the walk

Jodhpur emerges as the second most significant town in the Indian state of Rajasthan, found on the fringes of the Thar Desert. Since it receives sunlight almost throughout the year, it is truly perceived as the Sun City of Rajasthan, and a large portion of the houses here are covered in blue, which also gives it the name of the Blue City of Rajasthan. The legacy of Jodhpur begins in the year 1459, while it was secured by Rao Jodha of the Rathores.

Very few urban areas have such a historical essence as the city of Jodhpur comprises. It can also be called the place of maharajas. It is better known for historical characters like Maharana Pratap Singh.
An amazing historical background, stunning tourist places to visit, luxurious hotels, delicious cuisines and a large variety of shopping areas, together make the incredible Jodhpur.

Some of these spots are Jaswant Thada, Sheesh Mahal, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Chamunda Mataji, Khejarla Fort, Zenana Deodi, Phool Mahal, Moti Mahal, and the stunning Mehrangarh Fort. There are some well-known lakes here, particularly Gulab Sagar Lake, Ranisar Padamsar, Kailana Lake, and Balsamand Lake.

You will also get a wonderful view of the city's vibrant bazaars. The brightly coloured traditional clothes of the people are eye-catching, representing the cultural consciousness of its inhabitants. Join the photowalk to discover the city's history, people, culture, and architectural nuances.
