The city of Ahmedabad was founded by Sultan Ahmed Shah in AD 1411. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ahmedabad has plenty of centuries-old monuments, houses and temples along with the Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidyavihar, also known as the Sheth C. N. Vidyavihar. Founded in 1912, this institution comprises a number of heritage buildings spread across a 72-acre property. As one of Gujarat’s oldest educational institutions (founded almost 107 years ago), the campus holds numerous stories of historical interest. Though it is centrally located, the area is peaceful and tranquil. The campus also contains a small museum and a Jain derasar (temple).
Let us discover more about this institution and explore its heritage and history.
