About the walk

The gharana system, like the guru-sishya parampara, has been passed down generations. Varanasi is famous for its lively and activity-filled streets. 

The Kabir Chaura locality of Varanasi was home to several eminent personalities like Pt Jalpa Prasad Mishra Ji, Smt. Sitara Devi Ji, Pt Samta Prasad Misra Ji, Pt Kishen Maharaj Ji, and many more such legends of the Banaras Gharana. We shall start the walk from Ramkatora and witness this unique lifestyle and culture of this area by visiting some notable places, including the Kabir Math, associated with the great Sant Kabir. The walk shall provide insight into the strong cultural heritage of the city
