Secunderabad, with its churches and colonial history, has a very different vibe from Hyderabad, its older sibling. The area has a handful of Irani cafes today like Paradise, Garden and Alpha (now also restaurants), which have managed to survive, and continue to be spaces where Hyderabadis meet over cups of tea and biscuits.
So come join us for a walk to understand why Irani tea is called so, and the history behind some of these Irani cafes. The walk shall also include the history of Secunderabad itself, as well as a visit to the historical St. Mary’s Basilica.
