An Architectural Tour of MG Road and Cubbon Park

About the walk

The British colonisation of Bangalore is most obvious in the city’s architecture (and in the names of some of the busiest streets in the city). The impact of British architectural influences is particularly apparent in MG Road and Cubbon Park, where countless Greco-Roman, classical and neo-classical structures lie hidden behind the rows of trees that Bangalore has become popular for.

On this walk for the students of the School of Architecture, RIT, we will discuss how architecture evolves over a period of time, and the sociological factors that affect this change.

This is a custom walk for the students of the School of Architecture, RIT Bangalore.

(This walk is not open to others)
